CJ Live’s Story

CJ Live is made up of two inspiringly-talented Musicians who have dedicated themselves to music and performing. Jeff and Crystal have spent their lives in music, and after getting married, combined their love of music with each other.

Jeff has been performing and teaching music for over 20 years, and went to college for Upright Bass. He has worked in various bands, performing at all kinds of events and locations, all along the East Coast! He plays multiple instruments including guitar, bass, upright bass, cello, ukulele, piano, and drums. And he uses all these skills within this duo.

Crystal started her performing career in theatre, doing musicals and plays, and went to college for Theatre Performance. She has been singing since she was a child, and started taking voice lessons in school. Since college, she has gone on to perform with various bands at lots of events and venues, and has been teaching voice and piano lessons. Crystal is also continuing her education with Vocal Pedagogy, and is currently in a certification course. Besides being a vocalist and keyboard player, Crystal also plays the saxophone, which she’s always happy to do for an event! 

Since forming CJ Live, the duo have played lots of events and venues, from NJ and PA to NYC, and are willing to travel wherever they are requested. The best part of being married to your music partner? Since they live together, they can practice music every day!
